40 state attorneys general urge Supreme Court to let states regulate prediction markets

A bipartisan coalition of 40 state attorneys general filed an amicus brief urging the Supreme Court to take up a case that would let states regulate prediction markets. The brief was filed in support of New Jersey.
If the Supreme Court takes the case and sides with the states, it could open the door for a patchwork of state-level prediction-market laws that complicates federal CFTC oversight and forces platforms to navigate 50 different regulatory regimes.
